16 July 2026
In June 2025, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office entered into a contract with Flock Safety for the installation of eight cameras to be placed throughout the county. Permission had to be granted by numerous entities for these cameras to be installed before the system could be activated.
As of this date, the system has not been activated, and NO data has been received.
Due to public concerns, and after much discussion with the Putnam County Commission, this system will not be activated in Putnam County until further research and public education can be conducted. When and if this system is activated, the public will be notified immediately.

We are back with another post about shoplifters in Putnam County and it is not Home Depot!!! It is Kroger 😞. The pictures represented in this post presents a man accused of some Kroger thievery. Deputy A J Noel would like to get him identified. Here’s what we know.
1. This wine Robin Hood left with around $800 worth of Moët grape fermented liquid 🍷 and decided to not lay down some payment for goods.
2. This cork dork likes the color black. It’s very slimming.
3. Picture one represents the accused wearing shorts that have “Property of Andre the Giant” sewn into the label or he is a half human/half Corgi mutation?
4. Hmmm is he left handed ???? Or has he made the quick “ this handle is cramping my good hand” switch early ? (I normally make the switch around the produce section).
Let’s stop this “Grape 🍇Escape Artist” !
Do you know him? Contact Deputy Noel at anoel @putnamwv.org with any creative solutions.

Today , Deputy Wood fielded a complaint regarding scam sexting. Please view the following photos to observe the mode of operation of the scammers. Fear, intimidation and gaslighting. We applaud the young lady for staying calm and not being intimidated. We also applaud the young lady’s parents for having an open line of communication with her allowing her to seek their support and advice.
This is currently under investigation by our detective unit. ... See MoreSee Less
